We live in time when genuine research leading to facts and truth is rare and your article is a prime example. If a person starts out with a preconceived conclusion he could gather a few bits a pieces and put together a skeptical result that will please a few skeptics. Your chronology is off. Much evidence is now available that Mithraism is predated by Christianity and its ideas were probably borrowed from Christianity and paganized in their teachings. Evidence is getting stronger that Mithraism in the Roman Empire came later and is not found in Judaism or Palestine until the second century A. D. You exaggerate the similarities. Mithraism has no virgin birth its hero coming forth naked from a rock. No crucifixion, or resurrection. It borrowed this from the Christian story and is an obvious invention of skeptics like you. Good try though.
