Most such arguments miss the main point of the discussion and that is the sacredness of marriage between a man and a woman. All forms of sexual behavior outside of this are a slap to God’s face in lieu of His original plan for the human race. He wants a family of people who bear His image and allow His life to guide theirs. That’s why the key act of rebellion against God’s will is adultery, sex outside of marriage, regardless of what it looks like. God hates it all because of the desire of His heart to have a family that loves him and one another. Sex outside of marriage sends the message that we have a better idea than God—the basis of all sin.
