A Message from Heaven About Our Decline in Morality

Some people imagine that God is not involved or interested in politics or elections. Those who believe that God is sovereign in the sense that He has predestined every little personal action of ours often see God as remote from our affairs and disinterested in the affairs of humanity and so choose not to be involved in elections. But God is very much interested in our actions because He has granted us free will and He wishes to guide, inspire and empower us through His Holy Spirit. God has definite opinions about the moral issues of life because they all affect how we treat ourselves and other human beings.

For this reason, I would like to share how our shift in morality as a nation is strongly hated by the God of heaven. That hatred is clearly presented in the Bible so if you are one of those people who rejects the Bible as the word of God you may find this message a challenge to your belief system. Keep in mind that our shift in morality has been a slow, but real process that has moved us away from God’s morality to a morality conceived and inspired by the world system in which we live.

Paul warned us not to be “. . . conformed to this world, but [to] be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect” (Rom. 12:2). As humans we are going to change one way or the other. We are either going to change by God’s transforming power or we are going to let the world system of this age change us into its image. We are either going to look morally more and more like Jesus or we are going to shift to a morality that causes us to increasingly look like the world. So let’s take a look at how the world has influenced the morality of a once great nation.

Abandonment of the rule of law

God believes in the rule of law because He knows that we are spiritually broken and in desperate need of guidelines in our society to keep it from falling apart. Jesus warned us about this. He said, “Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold” (Matt. 24:12). John reminds us that sin and lawlessness go hand in hand: “Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness” (1 John 3:4). Without the hand of God and His morality in our lives we will naturally descend into lawlessness.

In recent years we have witnessed extreme examples of lawlessness in our big cities. Riots have spread throughout the country as buildings are burned to the ground and looters have looted with impunity. The justice systems in many states have adopted “no bail laws” that allow criminals to do as they please. Prosecutors fail to prosecute for political reasons which emboldens looters, homeless people, and other criminals to commit crimes randomly knowing they will not be held accountable by the justice system. Many cities are defunding their police departments resulting in an obvious rise in crimes such as burglary, rape, looting, violent attacks, arson and even murder.

The laws of our nation until recently were inspired by the knowledge that we humans are sinful by nature and need to be controlled until we come under the lordship of Jesus Christ. Paul warned that all of us have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Rom. 3:23). We come short until we receive His glory through the redemption process and grow in His grace (2 Peter 3:17, 18).

Most of our founders understood this. John Adams in a speech to the military in 1798 gave this warning saying, “We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion . . . Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” Many others testify that morality expressed in civil laws is necessary for the success of this republic. In recent years that morality has broken down and the result is lawlessness in the land. God will not bless the person or the nation that rejects Him and what He stands for.

He created us male and female but we defy Him with LGBT+ folly.

In one of His many dialogs with the Pharisees Jesus quoted from Genesis 1:27 saying, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female” (Matt. 19:4; ESV). There you have it from the Son of God Himself — God created two genders, male and female, because He wanted the first humans to multiply and fill the earth (Gen. 1:28).

The demonic forces that are trying to bring this country down are ruled by Satan, the one who opposed the male and female creation of God from the beginning. He hates males and females filling the earth with their offspring because he heard the promise from God that the seed of this woman would eventually crush his head (Gen. 3:15). Satan would bruise the heel of this seed (offspring), but the same descendants of the woman’s seed would crush him. Of course Jesus was the offspring of this woman but He has birthed a spiritual army that will be the means of Satan’s destruction (Rom. 16:20; Rev. 12:11).

So this enemy has muddied the waters in regard to this declaration from God of “male and female.” Through his control of our education system, the media and many of the leaders of our county, he has convinced many gullible people that it is quite normal to be lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, or any other sexual invention of man. It is even possible, according to Satan’s plan, to transition from one sex to another if you so desire. Marriage to them is merely a human invention having nothing to do with God, so sex in or out of marriage is completely accepted. It simply depends on how you feel and what you personally want. According to this thinking, we are free from any spiritual concerns because God does not exist and sex is just another animal activity for people to enjoy as they please.

Such people ignore God’s warnings throughout scripture that such behavior rejects Him and His divine purpose for the human race and leads to physical, spiritual, and emotional destruction.

Paul summarized the anger God feels for this rejection:

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness (Rom. 1:18).

For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error” (Rom. 1:26, 27).

As a result, Paul says in the next verse “God gave them over to a depraved mind.” The Greek word for “depraved” means to not be able to pass the test. In other words, such people are left with a mind that cannot do what God designed it to do. And yet such people use their depraved, failed mind to judge what God, the Creator of the human race, thinks about these sexual inventions. The result is a depraved understanding of sex as God defined and purposed it. Sex, as God designed it, is a beautiful thing to be celebrated as His gift to husbands and wives joined together by Him.

Abortion: the killing of the innocent at the altar of selfishness

This rejection of God’s standard of marriage and sexual behavior has led to the evil of abortion. We have become so selfish that we think we can live lives of sexual sin while knowing that a new human baby could be conceived in the process. Then we commit a greater evil — we make the baby pay for this sin with its life.

The killing of our unborn is the cruelest and most selfish thing that a nation can do and God turns His face away from that kind of evil. Many pagan cultures influenced by demonic forces practiced child sacrifice to their false gods. The Azteks, Incas and other cultures of Central America, the Druids of ancient Europe and many other civilizations committed this vile religious practice which is connected with the worship of pagan deities, often fertility gods, as a way of obtaining the blessing of the god.

In the days of ancient Israel child sacrifice was practiced in honor of Molech. Even Israel committed this revolting sin when they were compromised by the paganism that surrounded them, one of the reasons for the captivity in Babylon (Jer. 32:35, 36). It is quickly becoming one of the reasons for the spiritual captivity or our once great nation.

Abortion is America’s sacrifice to Molech and other demonic beings who hate humanity and rejoice in the death of the innocent. No country that treats its children this way can long survive and God’s wrath is growing against this nation’s tolerance of the practice.

Critical race theory is the Left’s way of keeping the fire of racism burning.

Critical race theory (CRT) is not new. Its definition is so nebulous that no one can actually pinpoint when it had its beginning or even what it means. The theory embraces the notion that racial inequality is systemic to American culture resulting in negative effects on people of color in almost all areas of society. It argues that the issue of current racism is rooted in the racism in the past, especially our history of slavery. Study will show that it is Marxist ideology that has replaced the Marxist claim of class struggle with a clash of the races caused by systemic racism. Though its adherents disagree, it is being taught aggressively in almost all educational environments in America.

Coming from a biblical point of view let me say that God created humanity with the potential for great diversity. All races of humanity are part of God’s creative plan. God’s viewpoint is that “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus” (Gal. 38). That’s why Jesus began His ministry by purposely choosing a different route, going out of His way to meet with a woman of the hated Samaritan culture. His message was clear: “I’m going to all people regardless of race or gender to offer the grace of My Father.” The good guy in one of His parables was “The Good Samaritan” (Luke 10:33).

God is no respecter of persons because He created and appreciates all people of all races (Acts 10:34; Romans 2:11). Paul, speaking to the Athenians, declared that God “. . . made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation (Acts 17:26). The great commission of Jesus to His disciples was to “make disciples of all the nations” (Matt. 28:19). The word for “nations” here in the Greek is ethnos from which we get “ethnic groups.” The Gospel of Christ is for all ethnicities, all races of men.

Critical race theory is simply the enemy’s attempt through the politics of destruction to keep the fire of racism burning by reintroducing segregation through labeling the white race with “systemic racism.” If you don’t believe that just try saying the words “all lives matter” or “white lives matter” in the wrong crowd. Better yet, try saying that you are color blind in the presence of someone who wants you to notice and revere their ethnicity. God, the One who created the races, would say that Black lives matter as well as the brown, white and many other colors of His ethnic rainbow.

People are not naturally racist. Racism must be forced on people by those who see a racist behind every tree. People divide into races because they reject the Creator who has introduced all races as evidence of His great creativity and proven that through Jesus Christ. Racism comes from our tendency to judge people by their external appearance rather by the heart, as God judges (1 Sam. 16:7; Luke 16:15).

Of course there is racism in the world but the answer to that problem is not to foment more racism in the form of reverse discrimination and collective guilt. True equality and justice do not come from pushing inequality and injustice on a race of people. It comes from seeing one another as God sees us — as the one human race in which He demonstrates to the world His diversity and uniqueness.

We do not try to argue with those who take the opposite viewpoint. They do not accept genuine debate but simply use circular reasoning by saying that you are racist because you reject what they say. We reject what they say and so does our God who seeks to unite us all in the life and love of His Son Jesus, the Christ.

Open Borders are not the Will of God

Some people who favor open borders quote verses like Leviticus 19:33, 34 to support their view: “When a stranger sojourns with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God” (Lev. 19:33, 34).

This verse, of course, speaks of the friendly foreigner passing through the midst of a nation or living there as a guest. God reminds Israel that they too had been sojourners at one time and desired a welcoming treatment. On the other hand, when Moses came to the border of the nation of Edom he sought permission to pass through the nation. He was denied permission so he turned back out of respect for their boundaries (Num. 20:17, 21). Borders were recognized and respected.

Acts 17:26 tells us that God made the nations and established their boundaries: “He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation.” When we get to the end of the age and the New Jerusalem, we still see the existence of nations: “The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it.” These nations are the “ethnic groups” that will still be recognized as evidence of God’s creativity. For some reason we mistakenly believe that in the eternal future there will be no ethnicities. Of course this passage proves that to be false. We will possess our distinctive racial characteristics and redeemed personalities on into eternity. Now would be the best time to recognize that the races are the work of God and let Him create oneness between us.

This is not the place to argue the two opposing viewpoints about open borders and immigration but let us just conclude that the idea of open borders as a national policy is not the will of God. Our borders must be honored or we will cease to be a nation.

I write to emphasize the principle that we as a country should proceed by considering what the Lord thinks about our actions. I know that this interferes with some peoples’ opinion about separation of church and state. I understand the notion of separation of church and state but I have never bought into the concept of separation of God and state. Of course that applies only to those who believe in God but that is the great divide we are facing. Either we come to grips as a nation with the certainty that we are rejecting not just political ideas but God Himself, or we face the reality of living as a failed nation without Him.
