A Gift of Wisdom to You
I was awakened in the night with a Christmas gift for all my readers. We all face the challenge of Covid-19 and encounter many questions along the way. I believe the Lord imparted some wisdom for everyone to help you deal with this challenge.
When the coronavirus first reared its head I was praying and felt the Lord led me to the passage in Matthew 10:16: “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.” Those word have guided me through this ordeal keeping me from getting flooded with fear and anxiety and helping me to see the disease from God’s perspective.
We are to be wise as serpents which to me meant to know and understand the disease and the truth behind many of the political falsehoods that have accompanied the virus. That has required me to do research and keep up with the facts that are being uncovered about such things as mask-wearing, helpful therapies, death rates, hospitalization etc. Knowing the truth has kept me from being fearful or anxious. Throughout scripture we are warned about living in fear and must guard against it and Jesus said “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?” (Matt. 6:25). He goes on to encourage us to be like the birds and the flowers that don’t waste their time being anxious about tomorrow. He will take care of the days to come.
Also we are to be harmless as doves. This means seeking to understand how the virus affects others and be sympathetic to their feelings. I have recently had a very mild case of Covid and came through it as if it was a mild cold. On the other hand, I lost my older brother to the virus and some dear friends have also died as a result of the disease. I cannot be arrogant about my own success with the disease knowing that some of my friends have died because of it. So it has been important to remain gentle and harmless toward those who are affected differently than I have been.
Covid seems to attack us at the point of any health weakness that we may have, often in connection to anything that hampers our immune system. So, being wise as a serpent, we need to be open to adjusting our lifestyle as the Lord directs in order to fortify our immune system. This means if you are obese you should be before the Lord about adjusting the foods you eat and the amount of food you take in. If you smoke you should stop. Get your blood pressure under control. If you drink too much it is time to drink moderately. Seek the help of your doctor about the lifestyle you should live to build up and maintain your immune system, God’s gift to you to help you overcome disease.
Find out the truth about vitamin C, D3, and zinc Ivermectin, hydrochoraquine, and other therapeutic solutions. There are online doctors and even some locally who can help you get prescriptions enabling you to acquire help. Listen to real doctors who are not influenced by the politics of the virus and ignore what the politicians are saying. They have an agenda and are not medical experts. Be wise. Know and understand the virus by gathering as much information as you can from neutral sources.
So, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a year filled with the presence of the Lord. He is always there for us waiting to hear from us and share His heart with us. We hope this gift of information is helpful to you and encourages you in the coming year.
God bless you all,
Lloyd and Mary
